Saint John Paul II's episcopal motto is Totus Tuus. Derived from Saint Louise de Montfort's True Devotion to Mary, this motto translates to "Totally Yours" from Latin. Saint John Paul II was deeply devoted to the Blessed Mother, and truly lived totally hers. How will you live everyday totally hers?
We chose Our Lady of Częstochowa to be paired with Totus Tuus because of Saint John Paul II’s devotion and Polish heritage.
Saint John Paul II is known as one of the greatest popes of the electronic age. He was particularly popular with youth and young adults, and lived and loved the outdoors, just like us!
Many times during his papacy, JPII encouraged the faithful to "Be not afraid!" In his book, John Paul II: In My Own Words, he said
“I plead with you--never, ever give up on hope, never doubt, never tire, and never become discouraged. Be not afraid.”
