2021 Wanderer Catholic Gift Guide
The holidays are by far my favorite time of the year. I love the coziness, the decorating, the music and carols, beautifully decorated churches, and of course..skiing!
But one thing that always causes me stress is gift-giving. Or at least the finding-the-perfect-gift-for-everyone part of the holidays. Now that I am an adult and a mother, I feel so much more pressure to find good, meaningful gifts for the people in my life. While a gift card or simple sweater can sometimes be what that person wants or needs, it may not bring as bright of a smile onto their face as something personalized or an experience can. I also enjoy finding incredibly useful items that they have been eyeing but never pulled the trigger on getting for themselves.
I have also found that making the whole experience of Christmas unique is also important. Our family always has a trip or activity planned for Christmas to make the season even more sweet, but I’ve recently started to be more mindful of the way that gifts are given. I come from a large Polish and Irish family, and as my siblings and I have grown up it has become harder and harder to give good gifts.
