“Al piedi del monte”- “at the base of the mountain”- Frassati is gazing toward the heavens. On the photograph, Pier Giorgio Frassati later wrote, “Verso l’alto,” which translates as “to the heights”.
This became Blessed Pier Giorgio’s motto, and was as much about a look toward Heaven as it was a testament to a life of prayer and a sense of social responsibility.
We made our favorite 'To the Heights' design into a patch for you to adhere to all your favorite places. This embroidered patch is stitched with black, white, blue, and red cotton thread and mounted on an iron-on backing for ease of application to any fabric surface To ensure quality and durability, we made sure the merrow edges of our patch are traditional, crisp, and tight: the overlock stitch ensures a uniform edge and prevents fraying. Though the iron on backing is perfect for applying to a fabric surface, We highly recommend that this be reinforced by sewing it on. This will keep it extra secure.
